Canadian Coffee Giant Tim Hortons Opening in Pakistan

Canada’s Tim Hortons, one of North America’s most popular restaurant chains, has announced plans to open dozens of outlets in Pakistan this year.

According to the company’s LinkedIn page, “Tims is opening in Pakistan this year as we continue to grow Tim Hortons around the world.”

There will be dozens of new Tim Hortons restaurants opening across Pakistan in the coming years starting with the first in Lahore this year, according to the company.

The progress is critical for a country that has had difficulty attracting FDI, with only $1.285 billion in FDI coming in during the first nine months of this fiscal year, a 2 percent drop from last year.
