Oppo Find X5 Pro Review
You can say that Oppo Find X5 Pro is the refined version of Find X3 Pro, as most of the phone’s specs have been modified and upgraded from Oppo’s 2021 flagship, for improvement. The Oppo Find X5 Pro is, generally, an amazing leading premium phone with an appealing display, powerful processor, brilliant main camera and capable of fast charging. It even excels in some spotty areas where flagships can be weak like in the battery and software. However, the X5 Pro isn’t an ideally perfect phone: the camera zoom is weak in this updated Oppo and it is also missing the amazing microscope camera in the X3 Pro’s version.
Oppo Find X5 Pro Price and Availability
Oppo Find X5 Pro price in Pakistan is expected to be around Rs. 249,999 with official warranty. The price stated is valid all over Pakistan with slight deviations including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Quetta and Muzaffarabad.
Oppo Find X5 Pro Design
The Oppo Find X5 Pro is notably different from Find X3 pro as it is a long, thin device that radiates quality, both in look and feel. However, Oppo has kept the size almost same for the X5 which is 163.7 x 73.9 x 8.5mm with the difference of only 0.2mm from the Find X3 Pro, and the X5’s weight is 195g, which is only 2g heavier than X3 Pro. You will find the USB-C port, right-edge-mounted power button and volume rocker all in same place. The X5 Pro is IP68 rated against dust and brief submersion. The rear is made from a ceramic material that feels expensive in hand, but it’s not very reliable. Moreover, the back is adorned with text which gives a bit of cheap impact to the premium look. The key differentiating factor between the X3 Pro and X5 Pro factor is the latter’s redesigned camera bump with curvier edge and smooth design.
Oppo Find X5 Pro Display
There have been no upgrade in the screen which is a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with curves at the edges. The resolution is 1440 x 3216, the refresh rate is 120Hz, the max brightness is 1300 nits and the aspect ratio is 20:9. It is a great-looking display with top contrast, bold colors and a very high brightness (which needs to be operated manually). The touch of X5 Pro is more responsive than X3 Pro, of in-screen fingerprint scanner and Always-On Display is a real treat to use.
Oppo Find X5 Pro Cameras
The main camera in the phone is 50MP f/1.7, and it’s joined by a 50MP f/2.2 ultra wide snapper with a 110-degree field of view and a 13MP f/2.4 telephoto camera with a 2x optical zoom, all of which are same as X3 Pro but sans the X3’s microscope camera is missing which is a big disappointment. Photos taken on the first two cameras look bright and colourful. With the MariSilicon X neural processing chip, the camera feels quicker to use.
The telephoto camera has a weak zoom with 2x zoom pictures looking okay at this range, and but quality keeps on dropping up to the 20x zoom limit. This zoom functioning as compared to rivals like Galaxy S22 Ultra, Huawei P50 Pro and Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, where the max zoom can go up to 120x without losing much quality is a big turn off. On the front of the phone is a 32MP f/2.4 camera, which is fine, but it’s not the best selfie camera as well.
Oppo Find X5 Pro Performance and Specs
The Oppo Find X5 Pro is a strong phone, with the same impressive and most powerful chipset the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 paired with 8GB RAM, which can be boosted up with a built-in RAM expansion feature where you can acquire 3GB, 5GB or 7GB.It briefly changes over storage into more memory. This powerful phone is useful for gaming and intensive processes like image editing. In the Geekbench 5 benchmark test, it returned a multi-core score of 3270, which is a not huge difference from the X3 Pro which got just 3257. There a common Snapdragon 8-series issue of chipset overheating. More usage and gaming heats up the phone quite quickly.
Oppo Find X5 Pro Software
The phone runs Android 12 with Oppo’s ColorOS laid over the top which is a colorful user interface, a fact that is amplified by the pleasant vibrant display, though some people may find it bit more bright. The good aspect of software is the vast range of customization options, where along with standard features you can also change the shape and design of icons and settings, the animation that plays when you use the fingerprint scanner, and the lights that flash on the edge of the display for notifications. The notifications and rotation has few issues though which can be frustrating which hopefully would become better by software updates.
Battery and Charging
The phone has a 5,000mAh power pack, which survives a day even with a lot of gaming, browsing and scrolling. The charging speed is also great with 80W wired charging which charges 50% in 12 minutes which among all present premium phones, is one of the fastest-charging ones and a game-changing feature. Wireless charging is at 50W, which is fast for this premium feature, and it takes less than an hour to charge to full if you’ve got a charging pad that goes at 50W. The Find X5 Pro’s similarly-price rivals don’t even have wired powering at this speed which is more than impressive. There’s also reverse wireless charging at 10W that lets you charge another device using your phone as a powering pad. But this feature drains out the battery more quickly.
