Make Checklist
Moving to a new home often requires many tasks. From talking with moving companies to handling financial duties, there are many details to keep record of during a busy move. Unfortunately, figuring out what you need to do and when you need to do it isn’t easy. The solution? Make a checklist. Having this list of to-dos in-hand will make it possible to manage your transit and that to in an efficient and timely way.
Start Early
We recommend that you start packing for the move after a month. Start early, take your time to keep things tidy, and avoid the stress of having to do everything at last. First pack non-necessary items such as out-of-season items such as clothing and ornaments, items that were in storage, books, artwork, and special kitchen items. As the day of your move approaches, you can start packing extra clothes, linen, tableware, and more that doesn’t take a week or two. For the last few days before moving, everything should be packed, except for essentials, toiletries, and food and tools.
Do Numbering of Boxes
when packing the boxes, make a list of the contents of each box. This helps you keep track of your belongings (what’s packed, what’s not packed) and helps you find your belongings after you move and when you are unpacking. A common practice is to number all the boxes and then create a detailed list for each numbered box. Another way to insert individual lists is to place the list inside the box or paste the list outside the box.
Discard, Sell or Donate
First off, all view your all items, furniture accessories and utensils etc. then decide whether you need it or not. If you don’t need it and they can be sold so, do it but better to donate to needy and if those items are not in condition of use discard them before moving to new place. In short it is the best time to reduce clutter.
Immediate Use Things
Finally, don’t forget to pack to those things which you may need immediately after moving to new place. Without them, your move may not be a good experience. First of all, it’s a good idea to make a checklist of all the important things for your moving day. In this way, we will never forget the important things at the very end. Basic groceries include medicine, toiletries, extra clothes, ID and credit cards, important documents, baby products, paper towels, toilet paper, bottle liners, tool kits, baby essentials (if you have).
