Google Pixel 6 Pro Review
The Google Pixel 6 Pro is a powerful and capable phone. It is the first genuinely top-tier handset from the company which is a challenger for some of the best smartphones in the market such as the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, OnePlus 10 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max and cherry on the top is its’s being low in cost. Tensor chipset, being moderate in benchmarks, has some seriously great applications. It has a beautiful screen and an excellent camera, other high-end internals, a variety of other improvements.
Google Pixel 6 Pro Price & Availability
Google Pixel 6 Pro expected starting price in Pakistan is PKR 189,999 of 128GB and its launch date has not been announced yet. The cost will increase with the storage of 256GB and 512 GB. It is a bit more expensive than Google Pixel 6 but still cheaper than other high-end phones like the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra or the iPhone 13 Pro Max.
Google Pixel 6 Pro Design
The Pixel 6 Pro is a large and beautiful phone with a curved display which ensures the phone remains easily in your grasp. It has a different look than most current phones because of the horizontal camera strip spreading on large portion of their rears, due to which the phone won’t sit flat. But it won’t be a racking phone due to camera bump rather it will sit slightly inclined. It features a glass back that’s protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus technology, which helps in protecting against scratches. Some may find the phone slippery too due to the glass rear. As IP68, it is water and dust resistant it can endure little dunk in water however leaving it for longer period inside water isn’t suggested On the bottom edge of the handset is the USB-C port with speakers on both sides. On the right-hand edge of the phone are the power button and the volume buttons.
Google Pixel 6 Pro Display
The Pixel 6 Pro has a 6.7-inch QHD+, which is one of the sharpest looking display, with the resolution of 1440 x 3120 that is a remarkable upgrade as compared to 2020’s Pixel 5 and its 1080 x 2340 screen. It is very rare in smartphones to have 512 pixels per inch with QHD displays, which has only been seen in the Sony Xperia 1 IV with its 4K screen. The screen has splendid brightness level but you need to adjust it manually on many occasions. The display’s refresh rate is 120Hz which adds to the impressive display quality. The screen also features Google’s first in-screen fingerprint scanner which is a little complicated to use so enabling face unlock is a better option.
Google Pixel 6 Pro Cameras
The Pixel 6 Pro has the best camera technology by the company so far, with a 50MP wide camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera and a 48MP telephoto shooter. It is good to acknowledge the powerful camera innovation by the company here, and it is way more versatile than previous Pixel phones, with more options to play around with. The 50MP main shooter, which has an f/1.9 aperture and 1.2µm pixels can take high-resolution photos with good details and colours that have extraordinary outcomes in all scenarios, having the ability to brighten dark scenes with Night Sight. The telephoto is also a good camera that is equipped for up to 4x optical zoom for distant objects. On the front of the phone is the 11.1MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture which provides good picture quality for video calls, and natural skin tones in our selfies.
Google Pixel 6 Pro Performance & Specs
The Pixel 6 Pro is the first phone from the company that doesn’t run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chipsets rather it runs on Google’s own silicon chipset which is called Google Tensor. The chip is quite powerful with smooth experience of browsing, games and apps. In benchmarking, the Pixel 6 Pro returned an average multi-core score in Geekbench 5 of 2760. That’s quite low as compared to Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra’s 3440, the OnePlus 9 Pro’s 3685 and the iPhone 13 Pro Max’s 4549 but it doesn’t matter in real life. Also there’s no microSD support and 512GB are not widely available. It is a 5G-ready phone so you’ll be able to connect to next-gen networks with this smartphone, coverage and your plan permitting.
Google Pixel 6 Pro Software
Android 12, latest and greatest version of Google’s software, is the part of this handset. Android 12’s new Material You feature enables you to pick your backdrop and the colors of that wallpaper will match with the menus of your phone. It allows you to customize your smartphone in a unique way for a more personalized insight. Android 12 runs well on the Pixel 6 Pro but Google has also confirmed that the phone will be supported by three full software updates of Android 13, Android 14 and Android 15 upgrades. The upgrades would be received after the launch of software. These security updates will continue for minimum five years, so you have the security till the end of 2026 of this phone.
Google Pixel 6 Pro Battery & Charging
The battery capacity is 4,905mAh, which seems enough for a smartphone of this size. If you’re using GPS features, or shooting lots of video then you may need to charge it before the end of the day. Google claims that it can survive 48 hours of usage when using its Extreme Battery Saver mode. The charging sped is fine, not as fast as in some other Android phones. A 30W charger can charge from zero to 20% in 15 minutes, and to 40% in 30 minutes. Moreover, there’s no charger of any kind in the box, you will have to use USB-C charger, get one separately, or stick to wireless charging.
