Milad-o-Seerat Committee Media Town Elects New Leaders for 2025
The Milad-o-Seerat Mustafa Committee, Media Town Islamabad, has unanimously elected its office bearers for the 2025 session. The committee’s meeting was held at the residence of the outgoing General Secretary, Syed Athar Shah, under the chairmanship of the outgoing President, Colonel (R) Khalid Javed.
During the meeting, it was unanimously decided to appoint Dewan Zakir Sarwar as the President, Nasir Mehmood as the General Secretary, and Akbar Deen as the Finance Secretary for the upcoming session.
The newly elected President and Secretary, in mutual consultation, nominated Adeel Ayub as Senior Vice President, Tahir Masood as Vice President, Syed Qaiser Abbas Shah as Information Secretary, and Syed Mudassir Shah as Joint Secretary.
The meeting was attended by Colonel (R) Khalid Javed, Colonel (R) Malik Akbar, Syed Athar Shah, Akbar Deen, Khalid Qureshi, Malik Rashid, Allah Dad Siddiqui, and Major Nazir Ahmed.
The newly elected cabinet of the Milad-o-Seerat Mustafa Committee, Media Town, will select the members of its executive council within a week.
In their remarks, the newly elected President, Dewan Zakir Sarwar, and General Secretary, Nasir Mehmood, praised the performance of the outgoing office bearers. They highlighted their contributions and stated that the future plans would be formulated in light of their efforts to further strengthen and organize the Milad Committee in Media Town.
Practical steps will be taken to promote the love of the Prophet (PBUH) through events organized by the committee, including Naat gatherings, training courses, and other sessions. They also announced that a ceremony will soon be held to honor the outgoing leadership.
