Ten Sports owned by M/s Sony Entertainment, India, might not be able to broadcast the ICC World Cup in Pakistan as its license of landing rights is likely to be revoked soon for its Indian origin. It has been learnt through reliable sources.
The decision is being taken in the wake of blackout of PSL broadcast in India and cancellation of the production contract of PSL right in the middle of the tournament by Indians to harm the commercial interests of Pakistan.
Ten Sports which was previously owned by Zee Network, India is now owned by Sony Entertainment, India, and is represented in Pakistan by M/s Tower Sports Pvt. Ltd. Karachi.
If is pertinent to mention here that the parent company if Ten Sports, Sony Entertainment recently ran an industry-wide campaign in India flaunting their role in getting PSL broadcast suspended in India for their ‘National Cause’.
